Office Administrator - Job Description

 

Reporting:

The position of Office Administrator will report directly to the Production Manager.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

- International dispatch

- Organise freight forwarding for import and customs clearance from outside Europe

- National dispatch

- Posting outgoing mail and small packages

- Administer facilities maintenance records

- Procurement for office consumables, equipment and sundry

- Stock control of office consumables

- Procurement for factory utilities

- Procurement for Engineering maintenance

 

Secondary Responsibilities:

- Reception support

- Production procurement support

- Administer purchase and sales ledger

 

Qualifications and Experience:

- 5+ years experience in administration

- Previous experience of MRP/ERP systems

- Previous experience of despatch, both UK and internationally

- A proven history of organising and co-ordinating administrative duties of a busy department

- Experience of Lean Office & 5S methodologies would be a distinct advantage

- Previous experience of auditing would be highly desirable

 

Key Skills:

- Competence in the use of an MRP/ERP system

- Strong verbal communication skills

- Strong written communication skills and ability to articulate requirements

- Strong IT skills, including MS Office products

- Working with others

- Ability to multitask/support multiple departments

 

Working Hours:

- 38 hours per week; typical hours are:

Mon - Thurs: 08:00 - 17:00

Fri: 08:00 - 12:00

- Holiday entitlement of 25 days plus statutory holidays per annum.

 

Training:

- Offsite training would be offered to the succesful candidate to further integrate them with the company MRP/ERP system

 

Salary:

- Negotiable dependent on knowledge, skills and experience.
