In a nutshell, what do you do?

I deal with sales enquiries from our customers, I provide quotations and process the orders when they come in. I'm also there to deal with any queries or problems our customers may have. I also maintain and update the company website and brochures. I also represent Vortok at the large rail industry shows such as Innotrans and Eurasia Rail.


What made you decide to do it at Vortok?

They are a very forward thinking and innovative company with a "can do" attitude which I share and wanted to be a part of.


What excites you most about your work?

Helping our customers out, whether it's just a simple enquiry or providing a quotation and seeing it right through to becoming an order. Being part of the team and contributing towards the direction the company is heading in.


What are the two most interesting projects you’ve worked on since you joined Vortok?

I've gone straight into dealing with orders from the majority of our customers home and abroad which are all interesting. I've also had training for and been tasked with updating and maintaining our website which I am really enjoying.


If you could solve one problem in the railway industry, what would it be?

Make the British railways as respected as their foreign counterparts, France and Japan for example have deserved reputations for excellence, I feel that we don't get the credit we deserve.


How do you relax?

Hanging out with my wife and kids, supporting Q.P.R, cycling, reading, movies and martial arts.
